Really excited about this one as again, the location 'seems' perfect, but you just never know till you get there. Its connected to the Hollywood and Highland™ shopping and entertainment complex, which also incorporates the Kodak Theatre (home of the Academy Awards / Oscars).

We've stayed in the Renaissance and yes it is a perfect location, so don't worry at all about that! It's exactly as you describe it, attached to the Hollywood and Highland center, which has upscale shops and restaurants, the doors of which lead right out onto the Walk of Fame, and right opposite you is the Disney Soda Fountain, which serves very yummy ice creams! Walk down a bit and there's the Chinese theater with the hand/footprints outside.

If you want some pics of this hotel, room, view etc let me know and I'll put them up for you. Some of the rooms have a view of the Hollywood sign, which you can request, but ours didn't as it was a suite with an extra room, but we had a fab view of LA and the hotel rooftop pool. It was amazing at night, seeing the billboards all lit up, we couldn't believe we were actually in LA!

We got a taxi to Universal, but it's one stop on the subway if you fancy that, so everything is very near. Any questions just ask.
