Disneyland paris just after christmas

I am looking at booking to take the family (6 Adults,4 kids and 1 toddler- 3 generations of family) to DLP leaving on 28th December for 4 nights.
Can anyone tell me 1st hand what sort of thing they do to make christmas special (parades etc) I have been with my kids twice now (not at christmas though) but the others in the party have never been and I want this to be a holiday to remeber. Does anyone know if father christmas is around after the big day itself?

Any help would be great.

DLP is beautiful at Christmas. They have 'snow' falling down main street at certain times of the day, a special Christmassy version of the Once Upon A Dream Parade (which is fab!), there is a christmas tree lighting ceremony, castle lighting ceremony, a special Winter Wonderland show which is very cute. Plus the decorations around the park is brilliant. You should also be able to see Fantillusion, which is the nighttime parade only shown during certain times of year (Christmas season being one of them).

I've down DLRP twice around Christmas time and it's magical!

Thanks for the info. I really want to go at christmas Time as I love Disney (at anytime) but I feel Christmas would be great/magical as a family.

We went just before Christmas 10 years ago so alot could have changed since then but I do remember a massive Christmas tree in the park and a parade with snowmen and santa and toy soldiers. We stayed at the hotel cheyenne and that also was decorated and had a big christmas tree and served a special christmas ale at the bar that my hubbie loved! We has a lovely time and the place had a great atmosphere!hope you have a wonderful time
