How do you check to see historic flight times/delays? Is there a website I can check?

I wonder if the 8am flight from Bristol to Dublin is on usually on time or is it one that is regularly delayed.

Thanks everyone really appreciate all the info

If you get pulled by customs then who is to blame for the delay And surely you would only get pulled if there is a good reason to pull you?

Also what happens with luggage do they just transfer it onto the next flight?

I wish I'd checked this flight before as it hardly ever goes on time, if I'd known I would have got the ealier flight from Manchester with 5 hour connection This flight was booked last minute to replace a Thomas Cook flight, never done indirect before. I would go the night before or earlier flight.
Was the flight with Aer lingus ? Thanks

Yes this was all booked through Aer Lingus, the Manchester Dublin part is operated by Stobart Air. We had to collect our cases & then get in a queue for new tickets, which took 3 hours.

Thanks ... appreciate the info...Surely they are losing a lot of money if this is happening regularly?

But they still sold the ticket. They will include as a cost of doing business. It is better for them to sell tickets and take the risk than not sell the tickets.

I dont think it happens often, but the risk is there.

The simple solution is go the day before as apart from this it is a good routing and Aer Lingus are a great airline to travel with. Customs/Immigration/Security completed before taking ogg means you arrive as a domestic passenger is a huge additional advantage.

I thought the same how can they afford to keep paying out? I would fly Aer Lingus again but go the day before or there’s an earlier flight from Manchester.
