Delta opperated by virgin

Can someone explain this to me please? I've found decent flights on netflights flying with delta (operated by virgin) does this mean it will be a virgin plane we will be on? I just dont understand it, also has anyone Used netflights this way? We've always booked direct with the airline, but if I book with netflights I can ring up and just pay a deposit

As Scotts2a said it will be a Virgin aircraft - this arrangement is called a codeshare. Equally, for example you could book to fly from A to B on the Virgina website and be on a Delta aircraft (and also KLM or Air France). Bear in mind that if you book through Netflights then your contract is with them not the airline and you are subject to Netflights terms and conditions.

Also worth being aware that booking through Netflights may make changes etc trickier.

Just use a credit card when booking as an extra safety net.

I have flown on Virgin aircraft several times on Delta tickets as I often achieved better prices or on occasion, a Delta plane in one direction and a Virgin Atl the other or even a Virgin for the longhaul, then a Delta for a connecting flight. This is known as a codeshare arrangement and is very common across the industry, broadening the number of locations to which an airline flies. It has enabled me to start or end my vacation at Pensacola, Daytona Beach and similar.

After recent months, I would not under any circumstances by a Virgin Atlantic ticket as they no longer have my trust when it comes to money. If a Virgin Atlantic Flight suited my needs and budget, I would however quite happily purchase it through Delta.

As another poster stated, whilst I research exhaustively on the various search engines to find the best deal, I always then attempt to purchase my tickets direct with the Airlines. It makes sense to cut out 'the middleman' and avoid potential complication. I also invariably purchase by Credit Card for the protection that it gives.

Thanks for the advice, the reason I was going to use netflights was I can just pay a deposit, also it was coming out cheaper, if I book and pay the deposit with a credit card and then pay the balance with a debit card will I still be covered
