Virgin Atlantic MAN-MCO - Flights - When resume ?

Does anyone know when flights are currently scheduled to resume between Manchester and Orlando ?

I know this is likely to continue to change, but was just wondering what the current situation was.

Thanks in advance

December 10th rings a bell but I don’t think it’s very likely until after New Year.

I have flights for 1st January (BA). They only cancelled my November flights on Friday and tried to move Them to another airport. I declined and took the refund. Goodness knows if/when January flights will be cancelled by the airlines.

We spoke to someone yesterday from Virgin, as we are due to pay our balance in 10 days. She said that we can pay the balance and get a refund when its cancelled. Whilst the official line is that the flights resume on the 10th, she very much doubted that the holiday would go ahead.
We are looking to rearrange for 2021

There was an article in the times last week saying that the UK and US are holding high level talks on opening London to New York towards the end of the year as this route is so important to business.

I think MAN > MCO will be delayed again past December, even if the US lift the travel ban then I assume the US would be added to the UK quarantine list which is going to make it very difficult for a lot of people to travel.

That said if this 15 minute rapid test becomes available or a vaccine everything could change.

There is a big push to get the London to New York route open, I am not sure how quickly they will bring other routes back online, could be at the same time, could take a while longer.
