Let's do California! Sept 2012

I will add more information once booked - can't book anything really til the flights are booked and confirmed.
Me and my fiancé are looking at doing the following...
We were going to do WDW again as we could do that with our eyes closed after one trip so where better to try than where the magic all started
Flying from Heathrow to San Francisco, staying in San Fran to do Alcatraz, golden gate bridge, walt disney museum. Planning on 3 nights there, no hotel decided as yet.
We then plan to fly to Las Vegas where we will do the rides, check out the hotels n sights, maybe even have a star wars secret wedding if ben has his way lol! We will watch Penn & Teller. We plan 2 nights in Las Vegas, possibly the Penn & Teller hotel?
From Las Vegas we plan to fly to Los Angeles where we plan to do Hollywood, Beverley hills, rodeo drive, universal, warner brothers, six flags - we're thinking 6 nights for Los Angeles - hotel undecided. From LA we plan to spend the last 6 nights in Anaheim doing Disney/Knotts Berry. Hotel possibly the Sheraton that looks like a castle lol! One night in a Disney hotel would be amazing though! Then we plan to fly home from LAX to Heathrow!

Oooh ,I am definitely "in" - doing a similar trip the month before you so will be comparing planning notes with you !

Provisional plans in place for South California/Hawaii/North California so will also be planning once the flights are close to coming out. The idea is to book Hawaii and choose the stopovers to save a bit on the cost

We'll definitely be staying in the Disneyland hotel though for a few nights. we LOVE that hotel

We're planning similar for about the same time - there will be a Dib meet yet! We're planning to start in San Fran then drive down the Pacific Coast Highway and have stops at the Monterey peninsular, Santa Barbara, visit Hearst Castle etc and finish at LA or Anaheim. Haven't started on the planning yet until later this year.
