We are due to go on the 27th Nov, unless the government, eurostar or parks advise against it then we will go. I am going to get up tomorrow morning and take a train and tube to work in the city of London - I am at just as much risk there as in DLP I think.

If I was going this week/next weekend I'd be more nervous, but as long as I can get there I think it's right to go.

We are travelling out via euro tunnel on Saturday staying 1 night off site then 4 nights onsite. Unless we are advised not to go by the powers that be we will be going, as others have said security is pretty tight anyway but will be even more so for the time being & in our eyes probably a safer time to go as most folks are on high alert. Our trip last year was mainly spent in the hotel room with a poorly 2.5yr old so this is our make it up to him trip.

We have an annual pass and have a trip planned next weekend. Early eurotunnel crossing Sat arrive at the parks before lunch to do xmas shopping a few rides and Dreams. Early into the parks Sunday and leave about 1pm to head back home. Just really want to see it all Christmassy and can't wait.

I'd feel more comfortable I'd they were more strict with the security. Last year they didn't even check the DLP carrier bags I had hanging on my dds pushchair. Maybe they ought to install xray machines to walk through and maybe something for the hotels.

There are scanners at the entrance to the parks/Village which all luggage has to go through.

As I said, my bags didn't go through there. I also had a baby changing bag under the pram which they didn't query when I asked if they wanted to scan it. They also seemed a bit unconcerned when watching the screen and just continued to chat and laugh. All fair and well scanning the luggage (when they do) that doesn't catch out anything on hiding on someone's body.
