Where to stay between GC and Anaheim?

I’ve now sorted out our itinerary and hotels for our Easter trip, but am still debating where to stay the night between Grand Canyon (Yavapai Lodge) And Anaheim.

I originally thought about Kingsman, but ruled that out. I then though about Blythe - that way the day we drive to Anaheim we could go via Joshua Tree NP. Is there anywhere else that would be a good option. Don’t want to drive more than 5-6 hours in a day.

For us we would push to Palm Springs and then shorter journey next day
With possible visit to Joshua tree on route.

We've done various, Palm Springs a couple of times with Scottdale and Sedona. We've always stopped twice though 😊
