I wouldn't suggest having a car in San Fran, they have a great tram system that'll get you wherever you need to go! It really depends on where you're staying or where you plan on going in all honesty
That’s great all food for thought thanks for taking the time to reply

Have a look at San Diego, too. It’s only a two hour drive south of Disneyland and there is a lot to do for families with young children. I have a San Diego planning sticky thread pinned at the top of this forum with ideas of what there is to see and do. 😊

We love Florida and been many times... But California has been one of our favourite holidays. We enjoyed the change from Florida. Loved the rides at Disneyland, dare I say, preferred them to WDW. We had 4 nights San Fran, 5 anaheim, 6 San Diego and 5 New York. Highly recommend california for a change to Florida. Would love to return. We were with our kids who were 16, 15 and 10 at the time.

We stayed at homewood suites at Disneyland. Great sized room for families, free breakfast and an evening social 4 nights a week. (This was pre Covid). Also just a short walk to the parks.
