The Swan - early check-in/lunch
We are doing a split visit & moving to the Swan on my birthday (so hoping check-in staff will be nice).
I expect we'll arrive closer to midday, than the 4pm check-in time. Has anyone arrived that early & been able to check-in? If that is not possible does anyone know if they'll let us leave our luggage? I know they do after check-out. Finally, if neither of those options are available we'll just drag our luggage somewhere & have lunch - any suggestions of the best place/s to try lugging 4 suitcases 🤣 Tia.

Not the Swan, but our 2 night stay at the Dolphin, checkin was awful, we were supposed to be able to check in at 3 and we were still waiting at 6,it really was a shambles with people lining up to complain.

You’ll be able to leave your luggage even if you can’t get in your room.
Lots of choices for lunch around the boardwalk. |

Brilliant, thanks for the info. If we can leave our bags I may need to do some birthday shopping in Epcot 😁

I really wouldn’t worry, just try and check in , if you can’t get your room that early just leave your bags with the Bell and get on with your day and collect your room keys later. (They will almost certainly do the nessercery there and then so you’ll have less faffing when the room is actually ready.) We actually checked into the Boardwalk next door at 7am , all prepared to leave our bags with the Bell so had our day packs at the ready , no need, they just checked us in , met all our room requests and handed us the key. You just never know but certainly shouldn’t waste time hanging about waiting for a key. Plan for the worst (not ready til after 3pm) and see what happens but definitely no luggage lugging required (just tip the bell a dollar a bag , if they are good and you’ve told them you are checked in they may even take the bags to your room before you get back ... I never , ever wait around if my room isn’t ready, there’s always something better to do ) Edited at 11:13 PM. |

Thanks Duchy. I had heard of people checking in early. As long as we can get rid of our bags we'll be happy 😊
