Ours was built in 1998, so basically built with drawing pins and egg boxes, I took a dividing wall down and it took me an hour with a jig saw 😳

Mine was built 62/63, I only know this because my neighbour who's lived here since they were built remembers hearing that Kennedy had been shot on the radio on moving day

The original part of ours was built in 1856 making it 164 years old. Some of the plans I have shows it once housed the pigs that belonged to the other house on the land.
My parents own a 400 year old Fisherman's cottage on Minehead harbour. Edited at 04:22 PM. |

Original house is 100 years old , it belonged to the farmer who owned the surrounding land , there’s only a horse paddock left next the church at the top of the road now.
We have the original wooden coving an 9inch skirting boards which I love . Downside is the house isn’t totally level but thankfully the added wrap around extension is |

Ours is 5 years old. I would much prefer an older house but for our budget this was the only house to offer a decent sized third bedroom.
As someone else said some of the box bedrooms in older 3 bed houses are so tiny. |

2 weeks old depending on when you class life starting for a house
Have lived in 3 new builds prior to this one, and love them for their energy efficiency, modern living, and number of toilets! Grew up in a Victorian house, wasn't for me. |

Ours is a semi detach cottage, over 100 years old. Bought it in 1989. It had one powerpoint in the kitchen, a toilet in the bathroom (no sink/bath) and working lights. We got a full grant and stripped the whole of the inside, including joists. Basically built a timber kit within and put an upstairs in. We harled over the stone and am thinking about painting or flat coating the outer walls in the coming months.
