Any Santander branch advisers on here?
Can you tell me whether you need to make an appointment in branch to set up 3 standing orders from a current account, or can it just be done over the counter as a walk-in?
I am asking on behalf of elderly, disabled FIL who insists on visiting branch for everything including just to order his cheque book. Not willing to let us do online banking for him or authorise us to talk to telephone banking. It is a major exercise getting him to a branch and we have had mixed experiences (once no record of appt, despite them phoning us to confirm the day before, 30+ minutes on hold to 0800 number to make an appointment cos you can't ring a branch direct any more, and not being able to amend the appt I had made (for data protection reasons!) Needless to say, I also can't convince him to move his money to a bank 5 minutes away who understand customer service! |
