I haven't got a cuttlebug, hopefully someone else can tell you more about it. Obviously its much cheaper to buy thecuttlebug machine than the cricut. But buying all the dies quickly adds up and eventually takes a lot of space. A plus point is that you are supposed to be able to use other manufacturers dies in it, so you have plenty of choice.

I have a big shot, a quickutz, a craft robo and very recently a cricut expression i bought in Florida. I have to say i absolutely love the expression, just wish it had been around before i bought all the rest. I think its brilliant for both cardmakers and scrapbookers and really easy to use too.

The cricut cartridges are expensive, but you get a lot for your money particularly with the newer cartridges.Just looking at the Graphically speaking cartridge, there are around 600 different words, numbers or images to cut out.

With the expression you can cut them in a variety of sizes going up 1/4 of an inch each time. You can flip the images and cut them out. For example one image of mickey is facing right, if you press the flip button you can also cut him out facing left if that is better for your design.
I did mention i love my expression didn't i?
