Attention Scrapbookers

I need your help. Sorting through my drawers the other day and I found loads of stuff from our disney holidays, I thought it would be a good idea to put it all in a scrapbook, since I havn't done this for ages I have no idea where to begin.

Here are a few things that spring to mind,

Where can I buy a Scrapbook?

What is the best glue to use?

I know lots of you out there are really into this so any help is gratefully appreciated, perhaps some of you could post pictures as I really have no idea where to start

This is a massive topic on which I could write a book! There are some good articles o UKScrappers which might get you started

ukscrappers/index.p... 27&Itemid=61

There are two 'types' of scrapbook shop, dedicated specialist shops where you will get loads of information, classes, crops (where you can meet other scrapbookers) etc, and larger chains which sell a decent range of stuff but without any specialist support. I am not sure what specialist stores there are in Doncaster but there are 2 stores which sell PaperMania which is a brand of scrapbooking supplies sold at larger chains.
I would expect them to have albums, papers and glue.

For glue I like a 'runner' which is glue on a tape that you can roll on. I used to use Hermafix but now use Scrapbook Adhesives because it is available locally. Hermafix do a repositionable adhesive which is great for changing your mind! (It's like post-it notes for the first few hours and then becomes permanent later)

My local Scrapbook shop is in Durham and they sell quite a lot of Disney items, you can look here

You can use glue dots as well which are handy. the range is really good as they have all sorts. Pick up a magazine to give you some ideas and techniques.

Gosh this is a big question. Firstly look through the threads on this section. Use propper scarpbooking stuff as they are acid (and often) lignin free. These will eat at your photos over time. Try Hobbycraft for a start. WHSmith has some stuff. I don't know of any craft shops near you but I am sure if you seached on the net you couldl find one. Ideal World/Create and Craft have a very good selection. Try looking at some of the sites mentioned above to give you layout ideas, as well as the photo on these thread. There are a lot of useful ideas around here. Having a quick scout round there is a place called Which Craft in Doncaster, you might want to start there.
