Adding Genie+ to existing tickets pre travel

I get the impression that Floridatix last week were saying that in order to add Genie+ to existing orders, they had to cancel the existing booking, and rebook - since they were no longer able to add genie+.

They were putting the price increase down to the different prices (including £/$ exchange rate over recent months). Not sure if it’s them pulling a fast one but £380 does seem like they were to me.

Yes that’s correct they said those reasons. I had also booked my tickets with the 5% discount code which they probably wouldn’t re-honour as well. I’d paid £1415 for 2 combo tickets and they wanted £1778 for the combo tickets with genie plus. Sorry my maths was a bit wrong! £362!

Thanks all - I did end up calling Floridatix but the price was so much more than it would cost to add it the days I’ll be there soI didn’t pay it

I believe that there is a change coming, if it hasn't already, where you can only buy genie+ on the day you are at the park.
No more advance purchases.

This is correct. We booked through WDTC for May 2023 in February and paid £99 each to add genie plus for 14 days. On Thursday I phoned to add the dining credits (and changed resorts) and was told as it was a new booking I couldn’t add genie plus.
