I've had an email from BA his morning about the reinstated twilight check in - great news for anyone using LGW.

"We’ve set up an overnight bag drop service. If your flight departs any time before 1pm, you can bring your bags to the airport the night before travel and check them in ahead of your journey. Simply bring your bags to the British Airways Gatwick check-in zone in the South Terminal between 6pm and 9pm the day before. We’ll take them off your hands then you can go straight to security on the day of your flight"
