fast pass - booking just in case?

Thanks for all the amazing info on this site. I have gone from being so over-whelmed about all the stuff I had to do... To being reasonably in control!

I have a fast passes question though.


We are going to WDW in the summer and I am thinking of booking one or 2 Epcot Fast passes for the evening of our arrivals day. If we decide when we are actually arrive that we are far too exhausted to go to the park that evening, I assume it doesn't really matter if we don't use them - we just lose our FP allocation for that day? I have done all our other days just thinking maybe I should add that evening too. Probably a bit much but might be worth booking-in anyway?

You can book them and if you don't go try to cancel them so that someone else can use them.
