Car/drag/Monster trucks Racing Bradenton Area?

World of Outlaw Sprints aren't back in Florida now till Speedweeks in Feb. I'm fairly sure they only do the speedweeks now... they are so popular they are all over the country the rest of the season.

August its mostly the Knoxville Nationals for them, which one day we'll get too.

In Bradenton itself you have a superb tarmac track called DeSoto Speedway, and for dirt racing you have East Bay Raceway. Both have racing every Saturday night between March and November...DeSoto is one of my favourite Tar tracks in Florida... Further North there is New Smyrna Speedway (south of Daytona), Volusia Speedway(north west of Daytona) and Bubba Raceway in Ocala... look out for SprintCars on the schedules, Late Models are the short track version of Nascar and Modifieds are like a cross between them both.

I'm not a huge car fan but myself and my young adult kids have been to Desoto twice in recent years. It was brilliant craic. Not sure of all the car types there were "Bombers" and Stocks we also had the site of old stripped out school buses racing around a figure of 8 track it was mad but great fun. The locals are big into it and a very friendly bunch well worth a visit if something is on
