When I read it and my son have same problem and I do remember that he hate magic kingdom as he refused to go on any rides... my concern about Disney Cruise but turn out he love it very much.

I understand that you said about buggy. why not? as it is hard working as i have been through with my son... Now he is 19 years old

I wouldn't change anything to suit others. Do whatever best suits you & your DS. If others have a problem, that's exactly what it is - their problem!

ultimately you have to do what feels right for you and your child, it really is that simple

other peoples personal opinions or what they think are just that, you must not let them impact on your life, they do not walk in your shoes !

once you are home you might be able to get a "major" buggy which would suit a older child from a wheelchair clinic which might be a consideration but that does not help with this issue now, in the parks you can go to guest services and ask for a wheelchair tag for the buggy which indicates that it is to be recognised as a wheelchair by cast members (this may help) ?

However - some folks have laughed at him as he is too big and asked why such a big child is in a buggy etc - he is tall for his age too.

So what would you do ? Are there bigger buggies you can get or would you just make him walk instead ( which I do at home but here's the heat is a killer )
Ignore those silly people who make comments. I've seen much older children in the rented double pushchairs around the parks. If your DS needs his buggy to feel comfortable and for you all to enjoy your holiday then that's what you should do. Stuff what everyone else thinks!
Have a fab time 😁
