Question Renting Points in dollars to Pay For Dues

Help with the best way to rent and pay in dollars please anyone?

Does anyone use Dave's Vacation Club Rentals or similar company to limit the payable dues?

We're looking for a way to rent in dollars so we can then pay the dues using those same dollars to avoid the nasty exchange rate now here in the UK. We've looked at Paypal (where Dave's pays into), UK dollar accounts and dollar Credit Cards but we can't find a way to avoid paying the exchange rate twice?

You would need to check how much you actually get from Dave's after they have taken their fees and then see if it works out cheaper to rent them out yourself and then just pay the dues taking the hit on exchange fees into consideration.

Fortunately with Dave's you get all of the money as the person renting the points pays circa $100 in admin fees.

We ideally need a US Bank account but cannot get that without an address... maybe we could live in the Boardwalk 365 days a year, I dread to think of the dues payable then!

You don't need a US address to open a Suntrust account (and probably other banks as well) although you do need to do it in person.

We then use the Revolut app to transfer money from the Uk to our US bank account and get the interbank rate.
