Points advice

Currently booking our summer holidays at the 7 month window. It looks like we will have 188 points left due to a mid stay, in a villa with friends for a week (although we will use a few more when booking grand Floridian villas at the turn of the year). The points we have used are rolled over from 2015 and 2016 year use.

Can I bank 188 points from 2016 and use them in 2018 (we do Florida every 2 years).

We would need to know what your use year is to be able to answer properly.

And when you intend to travel in 2018, as you can only bank points for 1 year.

If you bank them, your 2016 points will become 2017 points ,so it is when that use year ends .

Just to add - Only if you plan on travelling before the start of your 18-19 UY.
Assuming you are talking about your 16-17 UY, you Bank into 17-18, worth mentioning that as long as you are booking in that window you also can borrow from 18-19 so would have 3 years worth of points available.

Thanks for the advice, we've used up all our points by upgrading room size.
