Insurance & mobility scooter advice please

Can anyone got any experience of hiring a mobility scooter for a stay at DLP? We are going with my father who is in his late 70s, who absolutely loved DLP when we visited a couple of years ago, but due to his angina will struggle with the walking involved. A scooter seems a good way to resolve this. He was so sad that he would never be able to visit again, but if course where there is a will there is a way!
Additionally has anyone any suggestions of good,reasonably priced, insurance companies to try given his age and that he has medical conditions?

I always use eurotunnel insurance they don't ask about any medical conditions as all they want to know is whether or not your doctor would say you were fit to travel. I think it is £6 per day for insurance. I take out annual family so not too sure of daily amount.
