How much do you pay rickshaw?

As the title says how much do you pay the rickshaws at universal back to the hotel from the parks. I find it very difficult to know so wondered if anyone wanted to share? (Have only used one once)

There were three of us on the rickshaw, and I am not the smallest of folk. We got on at the boat station, then up a long ramp and all the way to the boat dock at Royal Pacific.
We were going to pay $12 but seeing the effort he was putting in to move the total weight of us three we ended giving all our loose dollars to him. $18.
He must have been super fit to do that all day He deserved every last dollar as far as we were concerned

Not sure what got me thinking about this but it was something that bothered me afterwards last time... Hoping we'd judged it right. We went on about $5 per person I seem to recall

Are they employed by Universal or just locals?

They are licenced to operate on Universal property. Around $5 per person plus a tip is average. They are also known as "Pedicabs".

This is their website:
