It looks like all of August is one show - is this right?
I can't see any days showing 2 shows... |

Wemanaged to get a later reservation at HBD (5.30) but having recently looked at the dining site I think they may have changed the times. We turned up to Fantasmic about 35 mins before and got great seats. They do often do lunch reservations I think, so that may be an option.
Otherwise my tip would be to do a lateish buffet breakfast (if you are on the dining plan and want to eat onsite this will likely mean doing another park or resort in the morning and coming to HS studios later though, unless you want to do H&V so might not work if you were planning a single full on day at HS). A late buffet followed by an early dinner often works well as you don't need to eat in between. As others have said, don't think there is any other way to avoid long waits besides the dining package. |

The wdw prep school website suggests not using FP but just turning up right at the last minute as she reckons views from the back are the best. I'm naturally a worrier so I don't think I would take this approach, but it may work for you!

Aren't the Star Wars fireworks on afterwards. I wanted Mama Melrose but it's right at the other end of park so I've gone for a brunch a Hollywood and Vine ( on dining package) but I'm not sure I fancy this restaurant after the reviews! I couldn't get anything for anywhere after 4pm x

Probably a daft question but do they allocate you a particular show that you HAVE to go to when you do the dining package? So would it not be possible to have an earlier reservation and go to the later show anyway? It's our first time doing the dining package this visit.
