Things to do at St Pete's Beach

We are staying for 2 nights at St Pete's beach this year.

Is there anything that anyone would recommend to do particularly other than to enjoy the beach and sunsets?

We will have our pre-teen children with us too.

Thanks

I'm not sure how your children would like it ... but the Chihuly Exhibition is amazing. There's also the nearby Glass Studio where you can watch them create glass pieces from scratch.

We've gone to the Salvador Dali museum a few times and it's great (down at the Pier).

Tampa Bay Rays game if there's one on in Tropicana Fields.

If you want a real treat meal, go to the Salt Rock Grill between Reddington Beach and Indian Shores.

I would second the Dolphin Watch boat trip. We have done this a number of times over the years and really enjoy it. This year we saw a pod of dolphins with a tiny baby dolphin. The Captain reckoned it was only a day old.

Hi there

we were in St Pete for a week back in March, kids were 10 and 12. We had an amazing time there. dolphin Watching is a must, there are many companys that run tours, we used Hubbards from st John Pass which is 10mins from St Pete. Another day trip we did was Fort de Soto and then to Egmont Key by ferry, its a unhabited stunning island, stayed for most of the day. Shell Key is also supposed to be beautiful. We also hired jet skis on our last day for 2 adults driving and 2 kids clinging on, was great fun. Otherwise just hanging out at the beach is lovely. We also visited a farmers market on Sunday morning just off the main street, cannot remember the name sorry.
We were so chilled out at St Pete compared to how manic it can be in Orlando, would love to have stayed longer.

Hope this helps

JJ
