The all dabbing Salou swan song. October 2016. Highs, lows and is it really the swan song

Just finished my 5th trip report of our Salou/ portaventura holidays.
Highs
Spending time with my little family. Jess is a great teenager, but she's growing up so it was lovely to chat and laugh with her.
Jess finally going on the big rides and loving it. And making me go back on them as well.
The hotel was perfect for us as usual. It gets mixed reviews, I can understand why as it can get busy and the rooms are noisy, but the food and drinks included, plus the amusements and entertainment make up for that. You can't argue with the price.
Tarragona, what a brilliant surprise and I would recommend a day there.
Portaventua as usual looked brilliant for Halloween, and no or little queues for the rides.
Lows
The water park being closed.
The one rainy day.
Not a low, but it's always a bit different going with friends. This year was better as we did our own thing as well, and it was good for Jess to have a friend there. It was nice to have the last two days together though.
Future plans
Well, we did say this was it this time, but we really did enjoy it.
We will give it a miss next year, Jess is done with holidays for now.
May 2018 might be on the cards though, just for 5 nights and Jess has asked us to check with her before we book anything.
We love October but thought it would be nice to return when the water parks are open.
