Resale purchase payment experiences please
Our 2 existing contracts were direct from Disney. We have just had contracts through for a resale purchase which states that the title company require either a cheque or credit card payment for the deposit. We do not have a US bank account and the title company will charge 3.5% for c.c. payments.
Is it normal to have no other payment option? I might be willing to swallow the c.c. charge for the deposit but not the full amount

Excited about Disney

I did a wire transfer. They usually accept this but was unable to transferwise as they send by ACH and the title company did not take ACH. I would contact your real estate agent and they should be able to find out from the title company. Who did you buy through?

I have just wired the payment through to DVC Magic Resales for an add on we negotiated on a Month or so ago.
The deposit I paid on a non foreign fee credit card. I agree the extra % on top is a pain but at least it's not too bad. As an aside I found them so professional, constantly in touch via E Mail, no hassle etc. I had to delay payment by 3 weeks as it went through quickly and we were in America when payment fell due. I explained this to them via E Mail and they were fine with the delay. Great service.

Thank you for the ringing endorsement
It will not be so bad if I can wire the balance. The 3.5% cc fee is charged by the title company and on top of my bank cc fee. I only have a foreign transaction fee free debit card, not a credit card. I am willing to swallow the fee for the deposit but bearing in mind that it is non refundable if Disney exercise ROFR that will be lost. Could I ask who you used to wire your balance?
