Use year question and one time points

We've had an unexpected change on in our plans as my boys school have given us an extra long holiday in May/June 2018. We were going to go in August but can now do 2 weeks at the end of May only taking 2 days off school (saving £2k in the flights).
My question is that my use year is June. I'm assuming that for the days in May, we can use points from 2017 and pull forward from 2018 and then once we move into June I can use points from that year and pull forward from 2019. Is this the case?
Also if I book a split stay and need extra points, can I buy 'one time' points for each stay given that they are in separate years?

Yes that's right. I think it might be two bookings but you could link them so you don't have to move

I'm guessing yes re the one time points. If the trips were months apart you would do it without thinking about it

Thanks Bev! I was starting to worry! We wouldn't usually be worried about the one time points but we are treating my parents so might need a few extra for this one trip. I'm just hoping the school hasn't made a mistake on the dates so have taken a screen grab of the dates!
