It also might mean a little more scrutiny to anyone applying to avoid mis use.

Fastpass plus no longer exists. Think memory maker does but not sure ? 🤔

Dorme…
Free fastpass+ ie booking 3 fast passes in one go before the park day started ( which was free for anyone that bought a Wdw park ticket from anywhere) no longer exists. It has been replaced by Genie which is essentially free touring plans. To obtain what were known as fast passes you have to pay $15 a day per person extra. The more popular rides will be priced individually.
Memory maker which can still be purchased, that you have for free on your package, is still fine.

The tickets may have said 'Fastpass + included" but frankly that was just marketing. Anyone who had any sort of WDW ticket got FP+ automatically.

I'm waiting to see if the new Genie+ system is actually necessary. We are thinking head to the parks for early opening (as we're staying onsite) do the headliners and then see how busy the park is and whether we think we need to buy Genie+ that day.

All tickets said "Fastpass+ included".

And, really, it wasn't just marketing - you did get fastpass+ included in the price of all tickets. Unlike pretty much every other park where you had to pay extra to skip the regular queue.

Sadly, Disney has discontinued fastpass+. It is no more. So, the fact that the tickets say "fastpass+ included" means that you can't get this any more because it no longer exists. There is now a different system which is not included with your tickets and you will have to pay extra for this - see Shifu's post.

Well, yes, not just marketing - but many travel agents used to highlight the FP+ part so it looked like “Oooh, book with us, you get Fastpass!”

Wonder what they’ll offer now. Free sunburn?!

Ah, yes. I see what you mean. Yes, you're correct.

I've seen several people say something along the lines of only wanting to book with a certain seller (eg. Disney themselves) because they get free fastpasses. Or asking whether they still get free fastpasses if switching to a different seller.

Same goes with Memory Maker with the Ultimate tickets - which is probably what they will 'offer' instead (at least until Disney removes that perk as well ).
