Bombshell with Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman and Margot Robbie, and a lot of other recognisable faces in very small roles. It's the story of the downfall of Roger Aisles the founder of Fox News. It was a quick moving film due to jumping between scenes. There's a 7 part series that is apparently better to watch as it goes into more depth. Although I'm not sure I need to see more depth of the treatment of the women under his 'rule'.

Then we got half way through The Tomorrow War (because we were too tired to finish it). I liked the scene where they were about to jump and the pure terror of the unknown. I was wondering how I would feel about being told here's a gun, go save the world that people who know about these aliens can't. It's a bit (lot) silly in places but I'm enjoying it.

I watched Bombshell last night as well. I thought it was ok but far far better is The Loudest Voice with Russel Crowe as Roger Aisles. Well worth watching.

Edit. That’s the 7 episode series you mentioned it’s on Sky Atlantic

Spiral- it was ok, the traps were brilliant as always but not enough of them to make it as good as the Saw movies.

Palm Springs. Andy Samberg is stuck in a time loop at a wedding in the desert. Not even he knows how many groundhog days he's had. Another wedding guest gets caught in it.
I really enjoyed this film. Whilst it's comparable to Groundhog Day, it's very different.

The Vault. A heist movie that had a decent enough plot but not even Liam Cunningham could raise the average quality of the acting up. I've no idea what Freddie Highmore's face was doing, he just looked startled in a blank way all the way through. None of the characters had any redeeming features.

Just watched Free Guy again on D+ after serving at the cinema back in August.
Guess all the Disney IP makes more sense now 🤣
Enjoyed it as much on the la'al screen as the cinema, caught a few more nuances and subtleties.

We also saw it at the cinema and was pleasantly surprised that Disney made this avail for free so soon!

Watched The Gentlemen again today, Guy Richie knows how to cast. Excellent movie with a lot of funny one liners. Highly recommend for those who haven't seen it.
