Bidding for an upgrade
Any tips please?
We've booked to fly PE for our upcoming Caribbean flights (as UC more than doubled the holiday cost), I've since put in bids to UC for both legs, I've never bid for an upgrade before. There are still plenty of seats in UC although they're saying they're not available (but you can still buy them). I've not gone for the very minimum, and have also avoided the threshold, going just over. Do these go often to bids does anyone know? Thanks

I think you have to bid more than actually asking to upgrade tbh.

Bid more than the price to upgrade? That makes no sense, you may as well just pay to upgrade.
Not that we know what we've paid for flights, as this is the first package holiday I've booked since the 1990's

I've been successful bidding for upper class upgrades and bid slightly more than the minimum bid price.

Thank you both, how far in advance did you hear that your bids were successful?
