There were also talks, cookery demos, all sorts of stuff we never had time to do.
Were the cooking demos, activities including Fathoms and other bits all included? Sounds great

There were no talks or cookery demos on the staycation cruises. It was a lot of quizzes. Animation classes and some game shows which we didnít do.

Evening entertainment was good. But I agree with Yorkshire T. The daytime offering was poor.

We had fantastic weather so spent a lot of time by the pool and also enjoyed quizzes and the cinema. But I canít honestly say the daytime activities were very varied.

Oh god, 2k. I'd be fuming and crying lol.
How did you get a letter from Disney?. Im happy to wait a couple of weeks but don't really want to still be waiting for it to drop off much longer than that.
What a pain, i only used my debit card because my credit card they couldn't pre authorise and i got a message to go to guest services 😒

There were tears lol, especially as the money was needed for bills. I emailed them asking for a hold release letter as that's what the bank required. Would have used a credit card but didn't want to pay exchange fees.

This didn't happen to everyone but there were several ways to avoid it which might be useful for the future (as this happens a lot with US hotels and restaurants also).

One was to pay in cash - I believe you were alerted when your balance got to $300 and you made an appointment with Guest Services to pay the balance in cash.

Another was to use a credit card - Disney were giving 2% discount to offset some of the foreign currency fee.

We used Halifax Clarity as we have done in several countries now. No foreign currency fee, and we didn't have any pending payments.

Yes, everything was included except the mixology which was $20 each.

Fathoms was brilliant fun - every night there would be some sort of musical act or speciality act, and also a game show, and then a disco (I'm too old to call it a club).

Obviously a lot of these things were not on the staycation cruises, but they would be on a normal cruise.

I've selected to pay in cash but not sure how that works?!
So basically can you buy stuff in the shop with your room key card and settle the bill at the end?
And can you settle the bill with a debit or credit card or does it actually have to be cash?!

I've got one charge of £400.02 come out my bank today which is correct,
but I've noticed ive now got another pending charge for £400.63 🤷
Mine took about a week to disappear but I know that some people were told it can take up to 31 days

My husband and son have no interest plus canít take son out of school. I need my Disney fix after not getting to Florida this year. Also cabin wise you are only there to sleep really so it doesnít matter if you go for the cheapest?
Many thanks for any advice and hope everyone who has been has had a lovely time
I agree that going for the cheapest on these staycations is the way to go especially as only 2 nights. All rooms are lovely and in all honesty you wont be in there much.

There are loads of activities - quizes, shows, animation classes etc. There isn't everything that is on a normal cruise as we are still in COVID times but there is plenty for any age. Also remember there is a movie theatre too so an option to watch a movie.

Unfortunately on the staycations they are no longer doing Match Your Mate (not enough people) and aren't doing any cookery demos or talks. They are however doing a lot more quizes than usual which is great if you enjoy them
