BA - how long for email confirmation?

Can anyone tell me typically how long it takes to receive a confirmation email from BA when they’ve changed dates?

Our October outbound flight has been cancelled and I’ve managed to rebook online via the cancellation email. I only rebooked about 2 hours ago but I haven’t received a confirmation email nor has the booking changed in MMB. I realise I’m probably just being impatient but the page that came up after rebooking said they’d already sent the email confirming new dates.

Hiya, It took around a week for me to receive anything. This was when I replied to the email where I requested a voucher previously. This was two weeks ago.

I’ve just phoned (and managed to get through in about 10minutes) and they’ve said the reason I’ve not received confirmation is because I’ve booked something that’s out of the validity period and therefore the new booking is invalid? The line was really bad as loads of other conversations going on in the background but it sounds like I need to take a voucher or refund - really want to move the booking without charge!
