A site such as booking.com or similar where you can add filters such as hotels with parking may be useful.

What area of London are you interested in/what side of London are you driving into etc; this may help with suggestions as London is huge and the choice enormous.

Do you want to be in the centre and walk to the sights or happy to be further out & use public transport to get into the West End etc?

Budget? Happy with the likes of Premier Inn or do you want to splash out?

Be aware that many Central London hotels are likely to offer parking but it may be off-site eg, a local car park and incur additional fees which can be hefty.

Don’t forget if staying in Central London, you may incur the congestion charge.
A larger area of London than the congestion charge zone will become subject to the ULEZ as from October so check if your hotel is within that area and if your car will be subject to those charges too.

It does really depend on which area of london and which days of the week for parking. For examplethe kensington area you can street park for free from 1:30 sat- 8am monday. Or westfields is £15 for 24 hours and its outside the congestion.

If we take our car down, we tend to stay at a premier inn at Hanger Lane. There is a car park underneath that charges £12 pn. It’s outside the congestion zone and easy to access from the north. Hanger Lane tube station is right outside and on the central line, we find it takes 15 mins to get into central London. We’ve already used this hotel twice in the last 2 months and are returning again at half-term.

Thanks for your response. We were hoping to stay in central London in an upmarket hotel as it’s a celebration for his 50th. We will be travelling in from Oxford. Sunday night to Wednesday morning.

I’m not sure on the parking but we stayed at Middle Eight the other week, it’s 5 star and right in Covent Garden.
Fantastic hotel

For parking you can
Try the app “Just Park”
Put your dates in and the area you need parking.
They will show places you can park and how much it will cost.
We usually park a bit out ( cheaper) near a tube station and train in.

A good car park is Baynard House behind St Pauls. You have various hotels close by from Premier Inns but I have often stayed in Apex Temple Court which I really like which is 10 mins walk from the car park and they do have some limited parking right behind the hotel in a courtyard so you could try them. Good location as just near the Royal Courts and Strand and the theatres, but very quiet on a weekend just where it is.
I also stayed in the Leonardo 2 weeks ago, very very close to the car park and next to St Paul’s. On the same street is ‘Epic Pies’, where I saw that peculiar dish of full English breakfast pie, which Southerners such as Mickey House seem to chow down on.
You can also book the National Theatre underground car park on the South Bank, so right in the heart of the tourist action so to speak, for £11 a day (per 24 hours I think) if you look online. In fact I am going to London Saturday and parking there myself.

We parked in Richmond (we’re coming from SW so it’s extremely easy!). Zone 4 on the district line.

We stayed in The Landmark and the Shangri-la. We would stay at The Landmark again in a heartbeat (and we definitely will!) and the shard was nice, but we’ve done it and it wasn’t worth double The Landmark (clubcard points means we paid £90 though!)
