I've bitten the bullet today and booked 20/8 to 5/9 Indirect out-Direct back LHR-MCO with a night at Cabana bay. We need car hire ideally but I've left that off for now as I'll look at adding it later or picking up from elsewhere to save money. 2 adults, 2 children £2588 (it went up by £200 whilst I was booking!) and only £150 deposit. As it's BA I can always claim a voucher later on if I find something much cheaper.
A bit annoyed that the flights we just cancelled for October were nearly a grand cheaper and included car hire...but heyho. We so desperately want to go next year after all the cancellations we've had. Our original booking for Aug2020 was onsite. This one is offsite due to the increase in price :/

I’ve done this route twice and it’s fine. Madrid is a lovely airport.

? Glitch this evening with BA
Just booked

lhr-mco direct flight with luggage 16/08
7 nights residence Inn near seaworld in a 1 bed suite
Mco-lgw direct with luggage 05/08

2 adults 1 teen and 2 children total £3543.
I reckon the hotel is worth approx £700 so makes flights £2800 which for direct i think is pretty decent.
If I tried to change the hotel to only 1 night the cost went up considerably so ? Glitch

I'm assuming you meant 16/08 returning 5/09 not 08 or you would be coming back before you went 🙂 price does seem reasonable for 5 although if returning on the 5/9 the prices usually do drop around the 1st or 2nd of September but to be fair I have seen some ridiculously high prices for next August. Only thing I wouldn't be a fan of is returning to a different airport, going out of Heathrow and returning to Gatwick would be a bit of a pain but doable if the price was good enough

Yes sorry I do mean coming back on the 05/09 my kiddies go back on the 07/09 next year so it just keeps it in the holidays ! Lol
I absolutely agree it's not a super bargain but I was hovering over the book button going out indirect via Philly for £526 each so I felt this was reasonable.
Also agree it's a pain going out and coming in to different airports. Both LGW and LHR are almost equal distances from where we live and we always get a taxi to the airport as it's 2hrs + and I just couldn't face that drive after a long flight so for us it works ok.

Just to add those flights without the hotel came in at £3600 so only works if you want a hotel.

I'm absolutely over the moon with the price I've just paid this morning and wanted to let you all know there are more similar deals on still!

Going with Travel bag - 16 nights from the 17th August and returning on the 2nd September, flights and hotel for two adults and two children (12 and 15) - £3648 total!

We are flying from Heathrow via Montreal with Air Canada and the same return - long layover on return (7 hours) but for the price I'll live with it. They had different flight options but a lot higher prices.

We are staying at the Parkway International Resort in a two bedroom self catering suite - hopefully it's decent (it's got decent reviews).

Eek! So excited! This will only be our 2nd time in Florida and the last time was 2015! If anyone else gets one of these deals let me know 😁

That seems a great price. The end of August into the start of Sept always does seem to drop off.

What you are effectively doing is buying a return ticket to a non tourist destination and also an internal N America return ticket to Orlando, but on a single ticket. I would price such a long haul at £500pp and such a return internal at 150pp plus baggage of course.
From that guesstimating, I would suggest that you have done rather well.

If curious, an easy way to research is to try to book the flights in the way that I suggested, then subtracting it from your total, along with the £80 APD on each child ticket long haul.

Now try booking the accommodation and you will know if you have a good deal .. or a great deal!

Thanks for your comments

I was curious about the pricing and I have got a good deal Flights would be approximately £734 each and the accomodation would be £920 so it would have been £3856 to book myself. I'm happier to have gone with a travel agent and got cheaper
