Given how early a lot of people arriving for pick-up arrive I suspect ten mins earlier wouldn’t really help your plight.

A specific parent - the parent of a child in your granddaughters class that she’s friends with - could be added (by mutual agreement) to the list of people approved to collect your granddaughter and they could walk her to your car.

While the PTA may be sympathetic to your circumstances I really can not see them wanting to get involved in an issue between yourself and school. Certainly they wouldn’t want to be responsible for organising a match between yourself and another parent and leave themselves open to blame should a mishap occur.

Wouldn’t the parents of the children be better sorting it with the school.

I haven’t read all responses so this may have been suggested

I would also recommend applying for a Blue Badge if your husband cannot walk far. Just Google your council name + blue badge and it should bring up the assessment process.

I would have thought that the school must have an accessibility policy for disabled parents (including the parking space), but your husband would need some evidence that he has a disability such as a Blue Badge.
