That’s so sad. He’s was amazing on The Wire and brilliant in Boardwalk Empire.

He never quite got that big breakout film role. He was originally cast in the role eventually played by Paul Bettany in Solo but when rewrites came in he couldn’t do the reshoots so was recast.

OMG 😱 This is truly shocking. A true talent and a groundbreaking and fantastic actor. It couldn’t have been easy playing the character he did back then, but he did it with brilliance. RIP Michael x

Brilliant actor. Omar was my second favourite character in The Wire, the biggest tribute is that when you first meet Omar you wouldn’t expect him to be gay, but you don’t give it a second thought whine you find out he is. All down to the brilliant acting

Out of curiosity, who’s your first?

A minor character but I love Jay. Stringer Bell would be my favourite.
