Anybody else worried about Astra Zeneca?

Great news yesterday about the US opening up but has anybody else had the AZ Jab and is worried about the CDC not accepting this?

This is absolute doomsday scenario in my head because if that’s the case we may be locked out for years to come.

I know I’m being dramatic and pessimistic but I can’t be the only one in this mindset surely?

Hopefully the jab in the UK will be privatised and we could maybe pay for Pfizer boosters as a compromised but I’m keeping fingers crossed that the CDC see sense and exempt AZ.

No concerns. For the past 10 months the CDC has stated that any WHO approved vaccine is acceptable and AZ is on the WHO list.

I'm pretty certain it will be just WHO approved, which include both flavours of AZ, including Indian manufactured Covidshield which was also administrated in the UK at the start of the vaccination programme. AZ is actually the most authorised vaccine around in terms of a number of countries, so it would be highly restrictive and probably not practical to administrate. It's just they don't use it themselves.

They have been using the AZ dose in the US so don't see why it should be an issue.

They already announced that its all WHO approved vaccines?

Not sure why people are even worried.

People are worried because its not actually been announced in regards to international visitors from November onwards.

The current CDC guidance is a strong indication it will be fine but that isn't currently linked to this latest proposed unlocking in November.
