Any one been to Aruba?

We were supposed to be going to Costa Rica on our Honeymoon in Feb 2022 (postponed from Jan 2021) but as it hasn't moved off the red list since the beginning of all of this we're not holding out much hope.

So we're looking for alternatives with TUI. As two women we also need gay friendly destinations and resorts.

Just wondering if anyone had been to Aruba and what the experience was like?

A quick Google says Aruba is one of the most LGBT friendly places but definitely check it out with experience.

We went to Barbados a couple of years ago with BIL and his husband. I thought it was lovely. They felt uneasy when outside the hotel or not with our family group.

So good to get personal LGBT experience.

Online research is telling me that it's very LGBT friendly so it sounds great but you're right, just wanted some personal experience if possible.

We got married there so obviously holds a special place in our hearts! Very open to LGTB visitors. 2 of our friends were a gay couple and they felt very comfortable. Easy to get around-we used bus and taxi. We stayed at an AI (Rui palace) so not too sure about eating out etc…we did venture out close to the hotel for shopping and saw plenty of bars/eateries.
