Travel With only 1 Jabbed Children

Hi

Just wondered if anyone knew what the rules are for travelling with children, regarding the vaccine. My guest due in at Xmas has said that their 15 year old son, will have only received 1 jab by then so do I know if if would be permitted entry. I said I didn’t have a clue, but thought I would ask you guys as you all seem more clued up than me.

Would anyone have any ideas, or know where you would look to try and find out.

Thanks Liz

As above, whilst they have announced a re-opening in Nov there are no details of what that means & speculation only that fully vaxed will be the starting point- if that is a requirement then that would indicate that one wouldn't be enough IYKWIM

Technically, as it stands, 12-17 year olds are being offered 1 jab - that makes them fully vaxxed by the current standard, if that changes later to 2 then it will be a different story.

Saw a story about New York where 12-17 year olds need to have had at least 1 dose of vaccine for access to restaurants etc. so they're recognising one dose in some parts of the US

It is really nice of you to help your guests and as other posters before me have said things aren't clear yet and we all need to wait until official announcements. But please be careful and stress as nicely as you can to your guests that it is their responsibility to make sure they comply with any regulations at the time of travel. What you don't want is for them to come back at you saying you provide them with incorrect information. I agree it is a minefield.
