Travel insurance

We’re planning our trip for next year (yay!) and I’m confused about what travel insurance to get. We need one for existing conditions for hubby & son, which isn’t a problem, however, our son is turning 18 while we’re away. I’m not sure whether I need to get family insurance because he’ll be under 18 when we go, or a group policy because he’ll be 18 while we’re there. Any help gratefully received!

Why not get him his own no matter what his age? Same as I do with Grandchildren.

I believe a family one covers those that live in the same household.

If it's an annual policy, then it's the age at start date of policy.
