It starts today!

So, now Christmas is well and truly over and the cupboard of naughty, but nice, foods has been depleted, DH and I are starting our weight loss/healthy eating/exercise plan.

Although neither of us are huge, the weight has gradually crept on over the past year (I understand why they call it middle age spread now!), so we're keen to nip it in the bud before it gets much worse. I have 1 stone to lose and DH has 2. We're aiming for a steady rate of 1-2 pounds a week through healthier eating and exercise. We go to Disney in 12 weeks, so hoping to be at, or near, our target weights by then.

So, today we've had porridge for breakfast, used our new Wondercore Smart and are now off for a run. Also taking the dog as he's carrying some extra weight too.

I'm sure there are plenty of others planning on doing the same sort of thing, so good luck to everyone else

Sounds like a great start and lots of motivation! Always easier when the 2 of you are doing it together!

Thank you. Just got back from our brisk walk/jog combo and did 3 miles. Happy with that for day 1

We are starting tomorrow - have 3 kg to lose each in less than 7 weeks which is doable. Our doggy is carrying extra weight too so we must get on the exercise together! Hope it goes well for you x

Good luck with it. We're both feeling really motivated at the moment (hope it lasts!). We've started a food/exercise diary too as I think that will help - especially with all those little snacks during the day that you don't really register.

I'm back to Weight Watchers on Wednesday. Want to lose a stone or thereabouts. Want to lose it slowly and try to change my eating habits at the same time. I had surgery last month so can't get back to the gym just yet but will be back as soon as I'm allowed. Good luck.

I'm starting today (again) too! I want to lose between 1.5 and 2 stone in total and hopefully will be where I want to be before we head to WDW in May! At least its good motivation to have it getting closer

Good Luck!

I'm back tomorrow, as today is my Dad's 65th birthday and we're going out for tea. I'm not really sure how much I want to lose, I don't think 4 stone is beyond the realms but primarily I'd like to be fitter and more comfortable in my own skin.

Starting again too, I am rejoining SW on Wednesday. I need to lose a lot more than a stone but will be happy with that or a bit more before we go.

I'd like to join a SW group as would like the eating plan, but I'm quite small as it is so not sure how well I'd be received and be told that I don't need to lose weight. I know a lot of people would be more than happy to be my size, but I'm big for me (if that makes sense) and can see and feel where the extra stone has gone one (all around the middle ).Does anyone have slimmer people in their group?
