Coast to Coast

Inspired by the Trackers quite a while ago we want to try and do a sunrise on the east cost of Florida and then see the sunset on the west coast of Florida. We are probably going to end up at St Pete's but no idea where to start. During the day we are probably going to pop into Busch Gardens.

We are staying at CSR and obviously want somewhere close that we don't have to get up too early (still probably need to be up at 5am) and to go somewhere where we can get a nice breakfast after the sunrise before heading towards Tampa. Any ideas on a good beach to start on?

From CSR you could take the greenway out and then go along 528 to Space Coast. Then double back on yourself to pick up on I4 down to Tampa.

Alternatively you could go to Daytona Beach or New Smyrna Beach but these are about an extra 30 minutes drive each way
