Half a day in Miami

We are flying into Miami next trip staying overnight at the airport and picking the car up early next morning.

Is it worth spending half a day in Miami before driving to Orlando?

We have not been before so any ideas welcome or not worth it.

Thank you.

We are doing this

We flew into Miami last time and grabbed an uber down to South Beach for a walk around.

Where are you staying for the night in Miami?

Following with interest….W fly to Miami next March and stay overnight before boarding a cruise. Would love to spend a few hours exploring if it’s straightforward and not too much hassle.

We are doing the same! We have never done it before either. We were thinking of exploring a little once we land and then heading off as soon as we are awake the next morning when the roads will be quiet.

We had a few days in Miami but not much spare time as we were there for a few sporting events. My favourite episode of Only Fools and Horses is Miami Twice so we went on a boat trip to see the stars homes, mainly so I could keep saying ‘it’s a real life Bee Gee’, lol. We parked at Bayside Marketplace, ate at Hard Rock and then went on the boat trip. That was a nice afternoon

We also had a lovely few hours walking round South Beach and back up the beach to our hotel. We were staying at Holiday Inn which was pretty much next to the Fountainbleu.
