We had 2 trips cancelled last year both trips included a few days at the beach, we had booked pier house 60 at £125 per night but on checking for May 22 they all seem to have doubled in price no doubt as they had lost so much money last year. Anyone think these prices may reduce once the borders open

Hi

I have no idea if I’m right but I would be surprised if borders opening made much of a difference to prices.

I’ve never found Clearwater or areas in that area to have that many non Americans (and I’m just going by their accents!).

I was looking for some accommodation there, hotels and Airbnb, and the prices are two to three times higher than I’d been used to.

I suspect it’s an element of supply and demand rather than just the businesses trying to claw back cash. Their models will try and sell the most rooms they can at the highest price and to never have empty rooms.

That’s probably not that helpful but I don’t think borders opening will play a massive part.
