Disney parks- what’s the drill
Looking increasingly likely our Xmas trip will go ahead (just waiting after yesterday’s good news for clarification on kids needing quarantine or not) and we had not planned to to do
Disney this time round. (Actually haven’t the last couple of trips) anyway I am completely out of the Disney loop and even more so in the current climate and ds has announced he has to go to HS to do the Star Wars bits and build a droid and light saver. So we are now going for one day. We have a few days in some tickets but will need to but some single day tickets too. What’s the drill Do you need to reserve the parks and if so how and do the whole party need tickets to reserve What’s the current capacity allowed. Can you only go to parks if you have a reservation. |

No capacity restrictions anymore, but everyone needs a valid ticket in order to make a reservation. You need a reservation to enter the parks, but generally seems possible to get same day reservations as the parks are full capacity. Though Xmas may be a different story as that's a pretty busy time of year so would recommend reserving sooner rather than later if you already have tickets.

Agree with the above. HS reservations are easier to get now that RotR has come off virtual queue but over Christmas, I would book this fairly soon as the parks have been dipping in and out of availability for the week. HS currently available all days though.

Yes, you need to reserve the first park you plan to visit each day and, yes, everyone with a ticket needs to have a reservation (those under 3 years old won't have a ticket and therefore don't need a park reservation). You will need to have tickets and have linked these to your Disney account before you can make any reservations.
There's more information here on Disney's website, including a link to the park reservation page: disneyworld/experi...-reservations/ As far as we know, the parks are now allowed to be at full capacity just as they were prior to the pandemic. That means getting a park reservation is usually fairly easy on most days and you can often do it the day before or even on the day. The only issue will be at really busy times, such as Christmas and New Year. You can see the current availability of the park reservations over the next 14 months or so here: disneyworld/availa... ment=tickets Yes, for the first theme park you visit each day you must have a park reservation in order to enter. Once you've visited the first theme park in the day, you don't need to make further reservations for other parks you visit on the same day. You can park hop to another park after 2pm and you won't need a reservation for that second (or third or fourth) park you visit that day. Note that park reservations are only required for the 4 main theme parks; you currently don't need to make a reservation for any of the waterparks or the mini-golf courses.
