A mini overview of our staycation

We’ve just returned from four nights at Otter Falls near Honiton, Devon.

A big thank you to Choppygirl for some great information beforehand.

We stayed in a lodge with terrace and hot tub overlooking the lake. It was beautiful and so peaceful.

Our dog loved the walks around the lakes and loved chilling on the terrace watching the ducks waddling by!

We visited the donkey sanctuary which we all loved - such a lovely place for them to live.

We also visited Sidmouth and Lyme Regis. Our boy enjoyed a doggy ice cream.

I think we all ate pretty well!

It was lovely to be away for a few days, definitely long overdue. I would highly recommend this place. We honestly felt like we were the only ones there.

We had our adult children with us and DD’s boyfriend and they all had a fabulous time, they enjoyed the swimming pool and tennis and generally just chilling.

When did a holiday in the UK become a staycation? I always thought a staycation was where you returned to your won home to sleep.
