Disappointed - *UPDATED*

Received an email today to say the pool is closed during our February stay at Sequoia Lodge. DS13 will be gutted. I know we wouldn’t have had much use of it but was hoping to use it once at least.😔

We booked Sequoia Lodge specifically for the pool in December 2019. We're huge swimming/pool fans and at CenterParcs visit it 2-3 times every day.
We stayed there 4nts and didn't manage it once! Honestly I just think you'll be so busy in the parks you won't have time. Plus the water is supposed to be freezing in the DLP hotel pools so definitely more for just a very quick dip.
It's a gorgeous hotel xx

Thanks for making me feel better. I know that you’re right. I just hope DS isn’t too disappointed.👍🏻

I’m pretty sure you have use of the pool in a different hotel (probably Newport Bay) if your pool is closed during your visit.

It says specifically in the email that there is no alternative available pool to use. I took that as we couldn’t use the pool in a different hotel but maybe they meant that there’s no alternative pool at sequoia lodge?

Ah okay, maybe that’s changed. It might be worth checking though?

Oh no, we are booked for Feb half term at SL and haven’t had an email. My kids love the pool and I’m sure we would go in it at least once, I booked SL amongst other things because the pool has a slide.

Here’s a screenshot of part of the email.

Such a shame isn’t it?😢

Thank you, blimey it’s closed for five months!
Definitely planned and not just routine. Definitely time for a complaint email and what alternative they are proposing.

I’m not sure complaining would get me anywhere though. I really want to stay at Sequoia Lodge so I don’t think there’s anything they could offer me that would make me feel better. Unless it was a free return trip for when it’s open…🤔😅
