It's only half an hour, but if you're going specifically to rope drop a headliner, you won't get the same benefit that you did previously since the queue will already be full of onsite guests before you're even let in.

The overall park will still be quieter so it's worth going in the morning. There's just not the huge rush to be at the front of the rope now, because you won't be.

So do on site guests get early access to every park, every day now then? Hadn't really paid much attention to the changes as we always stay off site anyway!

Yes they do. MK is still only Fantasyland and Tomorrowland, same as the previous EMH. The other parks are full access although possibly not every attraction - Safari isn't open in early entry as an example.
