Stop off ideas please

Hi Friends

For our February Trip (21st -25th so inching slowly out of winter!) we have a spare half day or so as we have allowed for a full day to travel down from Calais. We are staying overnight in Folkestone, catching an early morning shuttle so will be on the road en France by about 9.30am. Our next fixed point is checking in to the Campanile near DLP for Monday night prior to our Disney booking starting the next day. Our little group comprises me, DM 50, DD1 19, DD2 15 and DD2's friend, let's call her DD1F 15... much snappier than her actual name lol.

Does anyone have any good ideas about where we could stop off en route to DLP? The offsprings want Paris, but I genuinely don't fancy driving my van around the streets of Paris! It's a holiday after all!

Weather is an issue of course it's likely to be flippin chilly in Feb so something weatherproof would be ideal, a bit cultural, not involve clothes shopping and feel a bit genuinely French. I would be happy with just stopping in a beautiful town, maybe somewhere for a short walk and a spot of lunch, possibly a local museum or gallery. If anyone has done this, or something like it and can share some ideas, I would be so grateful. So far I have been randomly picking towns on the way and googling them to see what they are all about. Am happy to stray off the route to DLP and navigate around France to see something interesting.
